Privacy Policy - Use of Cookies

Your privacy is important.  We also think the same way and this is why we have made our privacy policy completely transparent.

Our privacy policy on this page tells you which type of data we collect, how we use the data and how and why (if any) the data is shared.
All our visitors share their contact details with us through our contact form.  We ask for this information so that we can get in contact with you.  If you decide to make a booking, we will use your contact information to coordinate and give you more details.

We will not use the information that we obtain from you for ongoing marketing without your consent and knowledge.
Your email address will be saved in our database when you subscribe to our newsletter, for the purpose of broadcasting the newsletter.  Information about our courses and other bits of valuable information will be shared through our newsletter, along with occasional marketing messages.  In every email message there will be an option to unsubscribe from our newsletter.
If you subscribe to our blog updates, you will receive messages whenever we publish new content on the blog or update existing content.

Where do we store data?

We host our website using the platform Wix.  Wix.com is an international web services provider.  You can use it for creating and managing websites and related services like hosting contact forms, processing the contact forms and storing the information.  The company is based in Israel.  According to the European Commission, Wix provides adequate security and protection for personal data of European Union citizens.  According to the information given on the Wix website, Wix.com stores its data in data centers in Europe, the USA and Israel.

As per the information on the website, Wix.com guarantees its users to take good care of the data that it gets from its users.  You can read their privacy policy on their website (https://en.wix.com/about/privacy).

We are using newsletter management services including Wix Ascend.  Hence, when you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address (and other details that you submit) will also be stored on one of their servers (or wherever they store multiple copies of the server data).  Your information will be stored as long as you don't unsubscribe.

We also maintain a copy of all the email addresses off-line so that in case we want to switch any service, we are not stuck.  We store our information in the Google Cloud.

As per their declared policies, Wix, and other service providers mentioned here, do not have the right to use the data that they have stored in their systems to market themselves or to make the data available to other parties.  This is a binding legal agreement between them and their users. Neither are they allowed to combine or link the data with information they aquired otherwise on you.

How long do we keep your data?

As long as we are communicating with your consent.  If you have submitted your email ID and your name so that we can regularly send you our newsletter including marketing messages and blog post updates, your data is retained unless you explicitly inform us that you don't want to hear from us.  Anyway, whenever you receive an update from us, there is an option in every message to unsubscribe.  You just need to click the link and you can unsubscribe yourself without anyone's involvement.

Your right to access and control your personal data.

Under the GDPR legislation, you always have the right to know what data we have about you and at any time you can request us to either change the data or delete it – be completely forgotten.

Send us an email (muriel@unlockpotential.be) if you want to know what data we have and keep. You can ask us to change or correct that information afterwards. Or, if necessary, delete all or part of it.

Is your data shared with others?

No, we have no reason to pass on your data to another company or even to a friendly company.  Even in case we need to share your details, we will obtain explicit permission from you.  Kindly keep in mind that when booking a trip, we may have to share your information with our partners in Egypt.  This is necessary to guarantee your safety.  This is a prerequisite for your travel contract.

Is using our website secure?

We use only a secure HTTPS connection on our entire website so, the data that you submit cannot be intercepted (it will be encrypted).  You can see that our website is secure when you see a lock icon in the location bar of your browser (usually on the left-hand side).
